“Asturies, Cultura en Rede”, a journey of Asturian creation and art throughout the Asturian territory.

 

The Ministry of Culture, Language Policy and Tourism launches, in collaboration with Asturian city councils, “Asturies, Cultura en Rede”, a project for the dissemination of performing arts, music, literature, plastic arts, and cinema , heritage and traditional culture in the Principality. With the aim of giving greater visibility to the creators and creators of Asturias, invigorating culture and structuring the territory, program thematic cultural circuits, in which the participation of small and medium-sized municipalities is prioritized, and which allow the programming of different theatrical shows and musicals, exhibitions and literary and traditional music events presented by different Asturian companies, groups and artists. Theater, dance, magic, theater of objects and puppets … Professional performing arts companies based in Asturias offer quality shows in conventional and unconventional scenic spaces that stand out for their creativity, ingenuity and commitment, as do musical bands and soloists professionals from the Principality, with a wide variety of styles ranging from chamber, baroque and classical music to folk, pop and electronic music. The literary meetings, reading clubs, creative workshops, conferences, talks and colloquia or book presentations promoted by “Asturies, Cultura en Rede” are fundamental for the promotion of literature and reading among citizens throughout the entire geography Asturian, where you can also enjoy a varied film program. Fiction, documentary, comedy, drama, animation, committed and educational cinema make up this aspect dedicated to the Seventh Art, which includes from some of the best titles in contemporary cinema to great classics of cinematography, and which gives special relevance to the works made by filmmakers of the Principality. The dissemination of history, heritage, popular culture and Asturian tradition are also present in “Asturies, Cultura en Rede”, to which will be added relevant exhibition projects of plastic and visual arts by artists of the Principality, which will be exhibited in Asturian councils throughout 2021.
